It was a fantastic experience, beyond what I expected. The waves were great, the instructions were great, and everyone was completely friendly, open and accommodating. Dominical is a great small town where it’s easy to fit in without worries. I think it was definitely the right choice for me compared to what I hear of the surf camps in the larger cities. I have surfed a lot, but knew that there was a lot I need to learn to step it up. I feel like I got excellent one-on-one tips from Cesar and his group of instructors. I’m anxious to take what I’ve learned back to the breaks in California.

Costa Rica Surf Camp was created with the intention of making our guests feel like home in Playa Dominical. Students have the opportunity to relax, meet new people, explore Playa Dominical, and enjoy the unique characteristics that this town has to offer, from waterfalls to the most extensive range of wildlife!

  • Firstly, beach breaks are safer than reef breaks or point breaks
