What if, I want to rent a car to get to Dominical?

Every car rental company will give you a Map of the roads or you can rent a GPS for a day or two to get familiar with the place. You can ask them which is the best way and they will let you know. You can drive through the Cartago/San Jose mountains which takes about 4 hours or you can take the Caldera/Quepos coast highway to get to Dominical, which takes 2.5 hours.
