Dominical is a beautiful beach-front town in Costa Rica approximately 44 km south of Quepos and approximately 31 km SW of San Isidro.  Historically Dominical was a rustic fishing village, but has since grown into a tourist destination, most notably for surfers.

Dominical is very relaxed tourist town which attracts surfers, backpackers, and families. Dominical attracts surfers worldwide because of its large consistent waves year round.

Visiting Dominical during the high season has its advantages because of the bright sunny days and many more fellow travelers to meet. Visiting during the green season is less expensive and has a cooler more temperate climate.surf competition playa dominical

The town has many small stores, restaurants, and other businesses surrounded by beautiful panoramas.

In Dominical accommodations are aplenty for everyone for every budget. Options from hostels to beach hotels are readily available.
